Garbo Produzioni Onza

Garbo Produzioni, founded by Maite Bulgari, continues to strengthen its presence in the Iberian and Latin American markets. Following the recent launch of Garbo Stories, its Spanish subsidiary, the company has formed a strategic industrial alliance with Onza, a Spanish independent production company, acquiring an equity stake.

International growth
Founded in 2014 by José Maria Irisari (pictured with Maite Bulgari), Nicolàs Bergareche, and Gonzalo Sagardia, Onza produces series, entertainment content, and documentaries for television and streaming platforms across the Spanish-speaking world.

Active in the United States since 2021 through its branch Onza Américas, the company—thanks to the agreement with Maite Bulgari’s holding—can now accelerate its expansion in Europe, Latin America, and internationally, particularly through the development of joint projects with the Italian companies Garbo Produzioni and Anthos. Among the growth objectives identified by the new partners are the joint production and distribution of content for Spain, Italy, and Latin America.

New board appointments
Under the agreement, Onza’s founding partners will remain shareholders and continue to run the company. Maite Bulgari, Raul Ballestero, and Stefano Torrisi join the board of directors.
