FOUR PRIME-TIME EVENINGS FOR THE FINAL, EMOTIONAL SEASON

Starting Wednesday, January 11, 2023, La Porta Rossa 3, created by Carlo Lucarelli and Giampiero Rigosi, returns to Rai 2 for its final, thrilling season. After the success of the first (2017) and second (2019) installments, eight new episodes will accompany viewers across four prime-time evenings toward the grand finale. La Porta Rossa is a Rai Fiction – Garbo Produzioni co-production, directed by Gianpaolo Tescari.

Three years have passed since Vanessa (Valentina Romani) left with Federico (Carmine Recano) without looking back, leaving Cagliostro (Lino Guanciale) trapped between life and death. Vanessa is now studying at a Slovenian university, the Center for Parapsychology Studies.

Cagliostro has cut all ties with her, and when Eleonora (Cecilia Dazzi) asks for his help to free Vanessa from the influence of that mysterious place, he refuses. Anna (Gabriella Pession) is preparing to leave the city—she has won a judicial post in Siena and hopes for a fresh start for herself and her daughter. Commissioner Paoletto (Gaetano Bruno) faces both the city’s problems and a personal mystery: although his relationship with Stella (Elena Radonicich) seemed to be going well, she has asked for a break and vanished.

One night, during a protest march against a high-impact power plant—where Filip (Pierpaolo Spollon) is also involved—the city of Trieste plunges into darkness. Among the consequences of the massive blackout is a serious car accident: a vehicle veers off the road and crashes down a ravine. The driver dies. It is a death destined to change the fate of all the characters and bring them—one last time—to investigate together, with dramatic and unpredictable developments.

Anna and Paoletto on one side; Vanessa and Cagliostro on the other—but with a major twist: this time, both could be guilty. They will suspect each other as they try to understand the invisible yet powerful bond that has always connected them.
Will they uncover the truth?
And in the end, will Cagliostro finally cross the Red Door?
