Affamati di Spreco

Every year, 1.3 billion tons of food end up in the trash. Affamati di spreco is a journey into our everyday eating habits to capture the reality of food waste, starting from daily life. The stories of three women in Italy intertwine with those of two young mothers in Chad, in the heart of the Sahel, south of the Sahara. Different worlds and habits, yet all share the same task: taking care of their families and their food supplies. Guiding the narrative is Tristram Stuart, promoter of freeganism in Europe—a movement that aims to recover still-edible food discarded by large-scale distribution.
